Bone Anchored Hearing Aids

Depending on the severity of your hearing loss and the condition of your cochlea, sometimes traditional hearing aids are not enough. For patients who have severe to profound hearing loss with little to no speech awareness, an implantable device may be an option.

Bone anchored hearing aids are surgically implanted instruments designed to improve the transmission of sound vibrations. To determine if you are a candidate for a bone anchored hearing aid, please contact us for an appointment. We can perform testing, and follow-up services for implantable devices. If you are a candidate, we will refer you to a specialist for the surgery aspect.

Choosing the Right Hearing Aid

Just like every person is unique, so is every hearing loss. At The Audiology Center of Snellville, we believe in taking a tailored approach to helping people address their hearing loss. There are many different types and styles of hearing aids available, all-in varying technology levels. Our goal is to help you find the right device for your degree of hearing loss and lifestyle.

Hearing loss varies in degrees: mild, moderate, moderately severe, severe or profound. The degree of hearing loss you have will influence the type of hearing device you need.  Your lifestyle or how active you are socially and if you are working or in a lot of noisy environments will require a higher level of technology.
